Why Britstock Photo?

Do you find most royalty-free stock photo web sites tend to be a bit transatlantic in flavour? Do you find photos of the British Isles on those sites but they're a bit clichéd? All red phone boxes and black taxicabs, Big Ben and the London Eye? Is it all but impossible to find something ordinarily British when you want it? Like a road sign, for example?

That's what we found, and that's why we decided to launch Britstock Photo. We're graphic designers by trade, and we've often found it's better to go out and take a photo to fit what we want, than to spend hours trawling through the usual places and finding nothing.

So, with several willing photographers, based all over the UK, and with several more joining us since, we've set ourselves the target of providing the kind of service that you'd expect from the best known microstock sites, but with a distinctly British flavour.

We think our prices are good, with some good discounts if you buy plenty of PicPoints. We think our library has some fantastic images in it, and it's growing all the time. We like to think Britstock provides the images where the others don't quite satisfy. Don't forget, too, if you can't actually find what you're looking for, drop us a line and we'll fill the gaps as soon as we can.

Of course, if you find an image you like, you have to buy some credits. PicPoints start at £1.00 each (minimum purchase 10 PicPoints), and once you've bought them they won't expire – unlike one place we can think of.
